Recycle Magic
We were treated to a ‘Recycle Magic’ puppet/magic show in the Parish Hall today. Thank you to Wexford County Council for providing us with this welcome treat we really enjoyed it. As can be seen from the pics below there was plenty of laughter and participation from the crowd. The show really fit in with the Green School idea and reminded us of the three R’s : Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
Rackard League
Boys Football
Our boys football team has made it into the Enniscorthy District Final for the third year in a row. The final takes place this Thursday October 26th at 2.30pm in St. Patrick’s Park Enniscorthy. All support is welcome and all staff and students in St. Colman’s wish the team well in their quest to retain the title.
Girls Football
The Rackard League Football season has come to an end for our girls team. They played in Group 3 of the competition this year and were up against some tough opposition. Well done to all involved for representing the school proudly throughout the games.
Skills Comp
We are delighted to announce that this year Rackard League are introducing a new skills competition for boys and girls in 3rd and 4th classes. The Rackard League committee sat down recently and decided there is a need to put an emphasis on the promotion and development of the basic skills of football and hurling. This competition will allow the boys and girls in 3rd and 4th to practice the skills of our games in a fun and interesting way.
Click HERE to see the skills that we will be practicing in school over the coming weeks. Practice at home too in preparation for our school competition. One boy and one girl, the winners of our school competition, will go forward to represent the school. They will don the school jersey and compete against girls and boys from other schools across the county towards the end of November.
