As you may already know next week is Wellbeing Week in our school.
Our Wellbeing Committee which is made up of pupils, parents and staff members have organised a range of activities for next week that focus on wellbeing.
We are also launching our Healthy Eating Policy as part of Wellbeing Week and will be encouraging children to eat healthily through fruit tasting and smoothie making sessions as well as lessons on the food pyramid.
To encourage healthy eating we will be rewarding children for healthy lunches from next week on.
We ask that children do not bring the following to school:
Snacks known to be high in sugar, saturated fat, salt, additives and preservatives, including the following:
- Crisps (including crisp-style snacks)
- Fizzy drinks (including fizzy fruit-flavoured water, juices, etc)
- Sweets or bars
- Cake/s
- Buns
- Chocolate biscuits/bars
- Cereal bars (these can often contain as much sugar as chocolate bars)
- Chewing gum
- Fruit winders
As always, our school Twitter page will have photos of some of the weeks activities.
